Conlay Club

The Conlay Club celebrates Malaysia’s strain of British design influence with characteristics of the multi-national union – dark wood floors and furniture, shuttered verandas, locally carved elements – all providing mesmerizing depth in a dramatic backdrop. The indoor seats 118 guests among a lounge, private library, magic table, and cigar room which takes inspiration from the First Class railway car from early British commerce hubs, though updated with a modern palette and textural sensibility. Whether here, or on the 60-seat outdoor patio, guests will be immersed in the golden age of train travel, when plush comfort and thoughtful amenities were prominent.

Rooftop

It’s no mistake that the rooftop’s design, in heights amongst the clouds, mimics scenes from British imagination prior to their 18-century arrival. Here, whether among the interior’s 65 seats or basking in open air on the 325-seated and standing viewing platform, guests will discover the truths distilled from those early fantasies, immersing themselves in Kuala Lumpur’s garden of Eden. The space is fixed in a state of the unexpected of a mystical beauty, with design inspired by two worlds, seas apart, now co-existing in a land of earthen delights – most notably a durian lounge complete with intricate wall hangings. Guests are sure to be transported to a new experience of leisure, just as the lives of British explorers evolved as they entered a new world.
